Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Friday and happy Thanksgiving!

We finished an extremely busy week with several tests to wrap up our current units- they all did wonderful! We had a fabulous and fun day celebrating together- our party today consisted of great food and friends so thank you to everyone that contributed! Emory's grandmother came to read to our class and reminded us to always give to others. Below is a picture of her reading to the class outside.

Just a reminder that progress reports go home today so be looking for that.
I pray that you all have a wonderful and relaxing Thanksgiving week. I look forward to seeing all those beautiful faces after break and jumping right back in for the few weeks we have left until Christmas break.

Hello!
Today we completed an experiment on pollution in water- be sure and ask your child about it! We observed how trash and chemicals spread as the water flows. They were all extremely concerned with how people are doing this in real life and what they can do to fix it.
This week we also practiced a lot of reading in the form of a class play called "Name That Character!" and I don't think I have ever seen our whole class that excited to read aloud!

Just a reminder that Shopapalooza is this Saturday so I hope to see you all there! Also, this upcoming week is our last week before Thanksgiving, so we will have a math test as well as a science test to wrap up our current chapters.
Here is a picture from the science experiment today.

How is it November already?

We are wrapping up another week in 3rd grade!

Today we wrote letters to veterans in preparation for Veteran's day coming up.
This past week we learned about pollution, possessive nouns, types of government, and practiced different methods of multiplication. Be sure and practice multiplication facts at home this weekend- hopefully your child will be able to impress you with what they know!

Be sure to look in your child's backpack for information on the Yankee Candle and gift wrap fundraiser!
Also, just a reminder that we do not have school Monday as teachers have Christian school in-service.

Have a wonderful weekend and try to stay dry!
