It's officially December!

We wrapped up lessons on weather changes, historical fiction, and geography of Europe and South America. Be sure and check out our new artwork in the hallway. After learning about idioms, students were to choose an idiom, find the meaning, and draw a picture to represent it. Our other new addition in the hallway is our would you rather Christmas project. Each student received a different would you rather prompt that was pertaining to a Christmas topic. Their creative writing responses were so clever and I encourage you to stop by and read them!

I just want to inform you all of the schedule for the next few weeks.

The canned food drive is going on now so please please please bring in cans for our class!

The Book Fair is this upcoming week (December 4-8). Feel free to come and look at books, especially for your child's book buddy!

For our Christmas presents, each child will bring in a gender-neutral $5-$10 gift- it can be a toy, a game, etc. Please bring these in wrapped by Monday, December 11th!!

On December 12th, 13th, 14th, and 15th, we will have half days. On Wednesday the 13th, we will have our class Christmas party- it will be around 9:45 A.M. On Thursday, On Friday the 15th, we will have a movie day as a school. Students are welcome to wear (appropriate) pajamas but please do not bring pillows or stuffed animals.

For this upcoming week, we will wrap up all of our lessons before Christmas break- we will have our usual weekly tests along with Math and Science. I am excited for all the fun events that we have coming up in just a few weeks!
